Thousands Springs is renown for its multitude of falls along the basalt cliffs above the Snake River near Hagerman, Idaho. The springs are from the discharging water of the eastern Snake Plain Aquifer, which covers more than 10,000 square miles from Ashton, ID on the east, and south to King Hill, ID on the west and per hydrologists, holds as much water as Lake Erie.
